There's no shortage of Italian restaurants in Krakow, and these days there's no shortage of good Italian restaurants in Krakow either. Del Papa, located just off Plac Szczepanski on Tomasza Street, belongs firmly in the latter category with surprisingly reasonable prices as well.

A comfortable and somewhat rustic-styled interior is divided into three sections: at the front a bistro-like room with aged and exposed brickwork; beyond that, a slightly more formal and restaurant-y area; and beyond that, a patio that is particularly charming in the summer, and covered and heated during the colder months.

Everyone who likes Italian cuisine will find here traditional dishes such as beef and fish carpaccio, risotto, minestrone soup or ossobuco, splendid crunchy -thin based- pizza and big choice of pasta.
There are also more original meat and fish dishes and enjoying huge success, delicious seafood.
As for pasta Del Papa gives you an opportunity to compose a meal on your own by choosing any pasta to come with the sauce. And there's plenty to choose from.
Most of the pasta is homemade as well as our unforgettable grissini, focaccia or ciabatta bread.
Each and every sauce is being prepared by chef to the order and all products used in Del Papa are fresh, truly Italian and the best quality.
Carefully selected and not completely Italian wine list in a very reasonable price is a strong point of the restaurant.

 Thursday is 'mussels day', when they serve fresh mussels and when guests are advised to book in advance. 

Del Papa's proprietors take great pride in their Michelin listing  and as well as repeat custom from returning visitors, it enjoys great popularity among Krakow residents. Definitely one to try if you like authentic Italian food.
