Pod Norenami

Vegans and vegetarians have been treated in recent years to the popping up of many restaurants catering for this market. Pod Norenami is a stylish restaurant situated in a popular gastronomic area of Krakow, not far from popular tourist attractions.

Tiled floors, sturdy wooden furniture and walls painted with warm and inviting colours are what await you inside the 19th century building. Lamps hang from the ceiling combining with candles to create a relaxing atmosphere. On the wall hang large pictures from Japan over one hundred years ago to complement the Asian influenced style of the interior.
The food is prepared in accordance with the strictest principles of veganism and vegetarianism using traditional recipes and practices of Asian culture. The sushi menu is extensive with sets for larger groups.

Thai coconut Galingale soup with tofu and rice noodles and tomato and coconut soup with rice noodles are hot starter options but there are also many Misoshiuru, Suimono and Ramen soups to choose from. Other starters include salads, falafel on vegetable salad with yogurt sesame sauce or fried spicy tofu in two flavours.

For mains try the tofu in peanut sauce, 'chicken' or 'beef' chop suey with vegetable or egg, all of which are served with rice and salad. There are also rice and noodle main courses, curry dishes, dumplings and a special menu for children.

For dessert there is the wonderful baklava, brownie with raspberries and vegan cake. Coffee, juices, tea and numerous other hot and cold alcoholic and soft drinks make up the drinks menu. At Pod Norenami they also run workshops and cater for larger groups and special occasions.
