Kraków: Zakopane Tour, Cable Car & Thermal Baths
240 ReviewsExplore Zakopane on a day tour from Krakow. Enjoy the beautiful landscape from the top of Gubałówka, try local cheeses and spirits, and relax in the indoor and outdoor thermal pools.
TAO is the first restaurant in Krakow to serve teppanyaki. These dishes are prepared on a special Japanese grill in front of you in a typically Japanese manner. This unique restaurant is located in the atmospheric Podgorze district of Krakow and is the sister restaurant of Zen Sushi Bar & Japanese Restaurant.
The interior has comfortable seating, a modern design and is bright with typical Japanese decor and placemats with Japanese writing combining give it the authentic Asian feel. The highlight is the secluded garden seating area which is surrounded by a red brick, ivy-covered wall - perfect for summer days.
Chef Allan Zarandin has gained experience in some of the best Japanese restaurants in the world and in Krakow he puts this skills to good use by preparing excellent Japanese cuisine. Teppanyaki is the main speciality. You can have special teppanyaki sets such the samurai option with tender chicken and beef. The Japanese fisherman's choice contains squid, tiger shrimps and scallops while the juicy Kobe beef and black tiger shrimps is the Asian choice option.
Besides teppanyaki there is a great choice of sushi dishes, noodles and the Ramen burger with meat, fish, vegetarian and shrimp options. Children are catered for with many smaller portions. For dessert try the chocolate cream cake, coconut jelly or green tea ice cream. Japanese green tea or other drinks can be ordered to accompany your meal.
TAO organises large events in the garden space such as corporate events, wedding receptions, birthdays and chamber concerts. They also organise workshops where you can learn how to eat with chopsticks and about how to make Japanese food.
After a culinary feast, you may like to visit a sister business and enjoy some Tao Therepy!
